The electric power system is currently undergoing a major transition due to growing numbers of distributed energy resources (DERs) and increased distribution automation. If optimally managed operated, DERs could provide flexibility highly valuable grid services such as restoration, peak shaving, voltage regulation, frequency support maintain reliability. Different applications enterprises, management systems (DERMS), are being developed for coordinated optimal operation DERs. However, attract sufficient DER participation achieve the DERs, components must be interoperable information exchange secure.
